Die Berg- und Talfahrt erzählt in lyrischen Textfragmenten, in Fotografie, Malerei und Objekten von verschiedenen Arten von subjektivem, gedachtem und gefühltem Raum, vom Kinderzimmer, vom Rhein, von Rohbau, Ruine und Traumhaus, zieht Verbindungen von Köln bis nach Bingen und verwebt Erinnerung und Vorstellung von Orten und Raumphänomenen, die mit der Komponente von Zeit Zusammenhänge bilden. In möbelartigen Objekten, Skulpturen, Text-Bildern und Videos werden diese verschiedenen Raumgefühle vorgestellt und erschaffen. Sie bilden die Stationen der „Berg- und Talfahrt“ und gehen den Fragen nach: Was haftet am Raum, was bleibt haften? Wie materialisiert sich Zeit im Raum? Und wie ist es im Gedachten?
Man steigt nicht zweimal in denselben Fluss, aber man kann stetig von der einen Stelle träumen.

Verlesungen – Enzyklopädie

“Verlesungen – Enzyklopädie” consists of two alternating elements that are happening successively: Reading out and writing, putting words together (“Enzyklopädie”) and speaking them out (“Verlesungen”: German for reading/misreading).
One direction from where Verlesungen starts is: creating a moment of conscious telling. “Therefore I have the frame, a wooden phone-frame to speak through. A few specific times a day i will speak out, read out something through that frame to an audience or to a camera. Maybe something I never told before, maybe just the latest contribution of my working phase for the Encyclopedia. This is the part called Verlesungen.”
The other part of the Aktion will be a workstation next to the phone-frame which Ella Kühn will use permanently the whole weekend to draw up her „Encyclopedia of literally connection“, where she will collect words, writes down rows of words that will form an emotional and associative encyclopedia of words, of the connection of words, so of connection itself.
The „Verlesungen“/ readings will take place daily (Sat, Sun) at 12, 3, and 6 pm. (around 10 Min each)
